What we collect

Information you give us:

• Free redesign requests: your current website address, name, email and phone number.
• Contact and project enquiries: your name, email and whatever you write in your message.
• Clients: account, billing and business details, and the content you provide for your website.

Information collected automatically:

• Technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, which our hosting and security provider processes to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
• Usage data collected through Google Analytics, described under Cookies and analytics.
• Campaign tags in the link you followed (UTM parameters), saved with your form submission so we know how you found us.

We do not buy personal information about you.

Cookies and analytics

aetherweb.io uses Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to measure how visitors use the site. It sets cookies and sends Google information such as the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser, and your approximate location. Your browser also stores a small amount of data so the site works properly, such as your scroll position between pages.

You can block cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

AetherHub uses the cookies its sign-in needs to keep you logged in. To find and fix faults, it also uses error monitoring that can record sessions, with text, form entries and images masked apart from fixed labels such as menu items.

How we use information

• To prepare your free redesign and respond to your enquiry.
• To contact you by email or phone about your request or your account.
• To provide, bill for and support our services.
• To keep our services secure, prevent spam and abuse, and fix faults.
• To understand how people find us and improve what we offer.
• To meet our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run our business, and only as needed for that work:

• Cloudflare: website hosting, security and data storage.
• Clerk: AetherHub sign-in.
• Stripe: payment processing. We do not store full card numbers.
• Resend: sending email.
• Sentry: error monitoring in AetherHub.
• Google: analytics for aetherweb.io, search and analytics data for client websites, and location lookups in AetherHub.
• AI providers, including Anthropic, OpenAI and Google, for the AI features in our marketing tools.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business.

Our clients' customers

When a business uses our services, its website forms, contact lists and emails run through AetherHub. We handle that information on the business's behalf and following its instructions. If you are a customer of one of our clients, its own privacy policy applies, and you should send requests about your information to that business. Every marketing email sent through AetherHub includes a way to unsubscribe.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. That means for the life of a client relationship and as long afterwards as our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations require. You can ask us to delete an enquiry or redesign request at any time.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it or give you a copy. You can also ask us to stop contacting you. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

California residents and people in other places with privacy laws may have these rights by law, including the right to appoint an agent to act for them. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we may keep information the law requires us to keep.

Security

We use encrypted connections, restrict access to the people who need it and rely on established providers. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Where information is processed

We are based in the United States and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries.

Children

Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell clients directly.
